用法辨析
- believe的基本意思是“相信”,指相信事物的真實(shí)性或相信某人說的話,引申可作“信賴”或“信仰”解。
- 在口語里, believe還可作“想”“認(rèn)為”解,表示和緩的、不太肯定的口氣,相當(dāng)于suppose,有時(shí)則僅僅表示客氣,不愿說得太絕對。
