用法辨析
- best用作形容詞是good的最高級形式,在句中可用作定語或表語。用作定語時,其前通常加定冠詞the; 用作表語時則不用加the。best之前有時不加the而加a,這時表達的意思不同。
- best用作表語時,其后可接由that引導(dǎo)的從句,從句中的謂語動詞要用虛擬式。
- 當(dāng)best用以修飾定語從句中的先行詞時,則定語從句中的謂語動詞須用完成時態(tài)。
- best用作副詞是well的最高級形式,基本意思是“最好地”,既可修飾動態(tài)動詞,也可修飾靜態(tài)動詞。作“最,最高程度地”解時,與most同義,常與love, like, hate, know, understand等表示心理感情的靜態(tài)動詞連用。
